The Village assures each engineer/surveyor inherently declares compliance with professional conduct, ethics, practices and standards. Seals are dictated under Wisconsin Law and professional standards for each prospective profession.

The Engineering Department generally designs and inspects Department of Public Works projects (including road projects), reviews private development projects for the Plan Commission, administers driveway and right of way permits, completes field survey work, reviews certified survey maps and plats, and maintains record drawings. The Engineering Department also administers the Village’s Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources storm water discharge permit, which includes erosion control permitting, and illicit discharge investigations.

Yes, but at the property owner’s risk. The Village will not replace concrete driveway aprons with the same material when doing road reconstruction projects.

It is important to note that the 5-year Road Improvement Program is subject to change based on approval by the Public Works & Highway Committee and Village Board, available budget, cost of construction, condition of roads, as well as coordination with water and sewer utility projects.

Yes, you will need a permit to install or replace a driveway culvert. The permit is available at the Engineering Department counter located in Village Hall or online here . The fees for this are subject to change, so please refer to the current fee schedule.
