Please note that there are only specific circumstances where the Village will intervene when it comes to the maintenance of private property. These instances include, but are not limited to: noxious weeds as defined by Village Ordinance, grass that is 12 inches or more in height, and/or the private property poses a danger to adjacent properties, property owners, and/or the public (EX: large damaged tree limb hanging over sidewalk).

The Village rarely gets involved with private property disputes. Most issues will need to be resolved privately between the property owners. The Village will only become involved if a property owner is actively violating Village Ordinances and Zoning Code.
