Work performed by private parties in Germantown owned right-of-way requires a permit from the Department of Public Works. Permits are also required for constructing and maintaining stormwater management facilities, such as ponds.
DPW Engineering staff review and respond to most permit applications. Right of Way Tree Permits will be reviewed by Highways, Parks, Buildings and Grounds staff. For single or two-family homes, please see the Building Inspection Department.
